Southern Italy's chic region of Puglia has fastly become one of Europe's hottest holiday destinations. The Italians call it 'the Caribbean of Italy' because of its hot summers, soft sandy beaches, crystal clear sea and rustic cuisine. You may notice some funny little stone igloos dotted around the countryside - these are called trulli. Trulli are native peasant houses that farmers used to stay in while they attended the fields - they have been agreably described as 'magic little fairy castles' and it's well worth a visit if you can get to one, even better if you can stay in one. There are so many reasons why you should spend your holidays in Puglia, and with Trullo Carlotta being in such close proximity to some wonderful towns and attractions, you have the perfect place to stay. Please find a bit more information about the trullo's local area below, including recipes and tips.
